 Perpetual Doula education fund

Let's train more doulas!

We know that many people want to start work as a doula, but lack the funds to pay $800 or more for a training. This is a program designed to help doulas have the funds they need to pay for trainings or certifications. Anyone can qualify and they can pick which organization to train or certify with. It is perpetual because we are starting with a base fund, but the doula repayment will help foster the growth of the next doula. We foster your growth and you foster the next doula.

How does it work?

2. We will contact you and see if you have any questions about the program. Once accepted to the program, you can move on to step 3.

FAQ's:

Who can use these funds?

Anyone who lives in TN

What can this fund be used for?

We can pay for a doula training or help cover the cost of doula certification fees to finish your certification.

This sounds great, so what is the down side?

We do expect you to repay the funds given you within 6 months. We hope in that time you will be able to start taking clients and have income to repay the fund.

Why do you ask us to repay the money instead of just giving it to us?

We hope to keep this fund for a long time. In order to do that, we need the funds repaid. Then, the funds can be used to help another doula get trained. It is a way of paying it forward. We foster your doula growth and you foster the next doula. Plus, since we are a nonprofit, your repayment is tax deductible.

Can these funds be used for something besides doula training?

Yes, contact us to discuss it. We are open to help cover the cost of other trainings related to the doula work which would include childbirth education, lactation, etc)

Is there a limit to the number of people you can support with this fund?

Yes, the funds are limited, but as doulas make repayments, we will open the opportunities to other doulas. If our fund is out, we will add you to our waitlist and contact you once funds are available again.
